Got A Girl Crush On: Judy Blume

I learned that all boys are generally evil in adolescence, about the perils of getting my period along with all of its (albeit dated) accouterment, and dealing with being brought up in a mixed-religious household (as I was) from reading JB’s books. 

Blume covers a lot of young women’s issues like covering topics such as sexuality, the existence of god, and body image–and has been subsequently “controversial” (i.e. HONEST!) throughout the decades. Thanks, Judy, for peachin’ the gospel of awkward adolescence.
